The Run
Ok. Stop with the drizzly chilly weather. Let's get some sun! I miss it, and I think the weather is dragging me down a little bit...or maybe it was all that Chinese food I ate last night....whatever! Heck, it's warmer in Alaska than it is here! Today was an ok day. Nothing spectacular. I'm just wondering if I'm going to run completely around Forest Park this Saturday in the pouring rain or not. I'm sure it will be cold, but if it's raining...well, that will be an interesting blog!

I'm starting to get a positive response from friends and family saying they received the flyers in the mail, and they are happy to be donating to the cause. That's exciting! But I'm getting a little nervous about that May 23rd deadline, which is less than a month away. I don't want to have to quit the marathon training because of fundraising. I'll start thinking of more creative ways this weekend.
More Supplements
I added the Xenadrine NRG to my diet today. I like how I feel when I take it, and I'm able to control the appetite during the day. I can still feel hungry enough to eat a banana mid-day, but I don't crave snacks. This supply will take me right to the week before marathon day. I don't plan on taking it after that. While I was at Vitamin World, I also bought Flaxseed Oil softgels, which came highly recommended by my friend Sean White. While I was there, I also grabbed a bottle of Potassium caplets. I remember Coach Rich saying potassium is good for the muscles, especially before a run. I don't think I get enough Potassium anyway, so maybe this will help. The caplets only have 99mg, whereas a banana has about 540mg. But it was on sale, and I'm sure it doesn't hurt.
