This Week, My Body Feels Better
I woke up this week with my legs feeling really good. No sore calf muscles. No aches or pains. In fact, I had a great sleep last night, and this is the first time in a looong time I didn't feel exhausted all day. Lindsey had given me a pretty hard back massage yesterday, which really felt great.  I'm sore from that a little bit, but that's a good pain.

The Run
At this point, the run is not even worth mentioning. By the time I start running, I'm finished. Three miles barely gets my body going. Today it was hot and hazy, and I didn't feel bothered by it at all.  I must be getting used to this St. Louis summer weather by now. At this point in training, it's all about tapering off.

Willpower
Now that I'm running less miles, I have to eat less. I'm so used to eating whatever, whenever.  That's no longer the case. I must have willpower to skip the snacks. I must eat healthier than ever, reducing the amount of fat in my diet, while still maintaining a high amount of good carbs....yes, GOOD carbs. And if I'm lucky, I can still keep it to 2,000 calories a day. No snacky snacks like Cheetos or Kit Kats. Say goodbye to them. So, to help me battle this temptation, I brought grapes, a banana and an orange to work. They really helped curb my cravings. I did hit the vending machine, but I bought pretzels instead of the Cheetos or other crap I succumb to! It was tough during the final hour of work, though. I was so tempted to eat something fatty. But I held off and drank lots of water instead. It would be a miracle to keep this up! I may actually lose those final pounds after all!

THOUGHTS: I must have the willpower to watch what I eat.
WHAT I'LL
REMEMBER MOST:
The final hour of work and how tempted I was to eat crap food!
