Mapping Out My Run
Since this was a route I've never been on, I used my Microsoft Maps & Streets program to map out my five miles. The path took me through the streets of Crainville, out through some farmland, past WSIL-TV Channel 3 (where Lindsey works), and back through downtown Crainville.

The Run
It was already really hot when I started. I was stiff for the first mile, but loosened up after that.  I remember last Monday when I ran 14 miles, it took me almost 4 miles to loosen up! I didn't have my water belt with me, so I took a bottle of Gatorade and mixed it 50/50 with water.  The run was fairly easy, and traffic was not bad at all. I noticed the town was very patriotic...they had American flags draped all down the road, and people had their own flags and banners out to celebrated Independence Day.  It was cool to see that in a small town.

It was later than I usually run in the mornings, so it was getting hot fast. By the last mile, I was cruisin' because I could see the stop sign at the end of my run far down the street.  After the run, I washed off Lindsey's car, which was a smart way to cool off!

THOUGHTS: 5 miles is easy for me now! I remember when 5 was considered the long Saturday run. I feel like I've come a long way.
WHAT I'LL
REMEMBER MOST:
Mapping out my run and feeling like I knew my way around town.
