It's Just a Walk in the Park
I was concerned about the upcoming 16-miler on Saturday, so I decided to just walk the park today and take it easy. Lindsey was in town, so she walked with me.  It was a therapeutic time for both of us. The walk allowed us plenty of time to catch up on life, without having to be somewhere. It was just us and the park.

Lindsey Going to Alaska Too?
We figured it may be possible for Lindsey to come with me on the trip to Alaska. I was going to look at flights from St. Louis to Anchorage, and since the Arthritis Foundation gave me flight numbers, I may be able to match her flights exactly with mine. We are still thinking about buying the land package from the foundation, which is about $600.00. Her plane tickets would cost her about $650.00.

Picture Day
Since Lindsey and I walked the park, this was a great time to finally take photos of things that were along my run. These are the only things I can see from the trail. There are many other cool places in the park, such as the St. Louis Zoo, The Muny, The Art Museum, a golf course, Steinberg Skating Rink, and others. You can see enlarged photos in the photo gallery.

THOUGHTS: I'm glad I walked today. I didn't want to skip the training day.
WHAT I'LL
REMEMBER MOST:
Realizing it's still possible for Lindsey to go with me to Alaska to support me.
