What the #$%^&?
OK, so I felt pretty good catching up to my mates during Saturday's run, and maybe I felt a little cocky today. But right after the first mile, WHAM! Sides hurt, legs hurt, back hurt, shin splits, instant exhaustion...could this be "the wall" at Mile 2?  What was going on??? Was it because I felt so good Saturday that I ate too many carbs over the weekend and was carrying an 5 extra pounds with me? Was it stress from work? Did I push myself to quick during takeoff? I had to stop running! I walked for about 5 minutes, then jogged almost to the end.  The last 200 feet or so was a crawl. I was in so much pain, it hurt my sides to breathe!  This worried me. I walked around the park for a couple more miles to stretch out whatever it was, and my body seemed to get back to normal, but I'm still concerned.

THOUGHTS: Maybe I need to just slow down.
