The Run
Lindsey was in town this week, so she decided to join me for a trip to Forest Park. She was going to visit the Zoo while I ran around the park. It was a nice day with a little breeze. I had some new music on my MP3 player, and so the run went by pretty good. When I approached the second set of hills around Mile 4, I felt myself wanting to stop, but I never did. I had energy all the way though, and I ran non-stop. lindsey met me at the end of my run. She had walked about 3 miles herself, because the Zoo had closed at 5:00pm. She took some photos of me with my new running gear.

My friend Sean White at work passed this article along to me, and it's a really good read...check it out when you've got 5 minutes. It's an entertainment reporter for MSNBC who just finished a marathon on her way "from couch potato to ironman". There are things that happen in a marathon we may not have thought of.

| THOUGHTS: |
I didn't need the water today. I had tons of energy. Not too bad of pace, but I'm thinking that 12 miles this weekend is going to change things. |
