Mile Markers at Forest Park:
The St. Louis Track Club decided to paint in their official mile markers, based on GPS info, and the trail I train on is actually 5.65 miles. Damn! I thought it was 6.2 miles this whole time! Well, that means my pace isn't as good as I thought, and I actually have to run further than before. But, that's ok. I'd rather know that now than a week before the marathon.

The Run
Compared to yesterday, the run was incredible. I was just not wanting to run at all yesterday, but today my body was loosened up and relaxed. And with the temps being 10° cooler, I didn't need any water until Mile 4. I had only packed two water bottles onto my water belt, and I ran the whole 5 miles nonstop.

THOUGHTS: I guess the wear and tear from last Saturday's 12-miler needed some loosening up yesterday, which made for a better run today.
